Srinagar, October 09: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has notified a 21-day timeline for the delivery of key public services under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), 2011, aimed at ensuring faster and more transparent public service delivery.The timeline covers No Objection Certificates (NOCs) required for building permissions from departments including Revenue, Forest, Jal Shakti, Power Development Department (PDD), Roads and Buildings (R&B), and local Development Authorities.The move is aimed at streamlining administrative procedures, reducing delays in approvals, fixing accountability and improving ease of living for citizens across Jammu and Kashmir.The government has also designated responsible officers and first and second appellate authorities to address cases where services are delayed or denied. The notifications cover 18 categories of building-related NOCs, with the objective of making the approval process more time-bound and accountable.
